Committed to flourishing in the third space this is a new home, creative platform and institution for postcolonial conversations about art, music, literature, poetry, film and identity.

Critical creativity abounds in the culture. Right here.

Norate & Augustine’s curriculum, published works and events are curated by Marshea Makosa.

Marshea is an earth scientist, writer and poet from Zimbabwe. She completed her bachelors in Geology at Royal Holloway University of London and her Creative Writing masters at Edinburgh University in the school of Languages, Literature and Culture. Her essays and poems have been published in print and digitally. She is also a Virgo.

Norate & Augustine’s is a midlands-based culture and arts organisation.

This platform was started as a way to gather, narrate, orate and share the unique stories and complex lived experiences of marginalised people outside of London, where events and opportunities were invariably concentrated. Creatives should not have to divest their energies away from their homes homes or be displaced to connect with one another or have a good time. This necessitated Norate & Augustine’s beginning, providing a new home for critical creativity.
